Kristen has nearly 20 years’ experience as a behavior therapist and board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) and many more years working with children in various educational settings. Before founding Spark Learning, she helped open the doors at the Autism Early Learning Center of Austin LLC (AELC). Her contributions as a clinical director were wide-ranging, including curriculum development, treatment oversight, in-school consultations, staff management, and more. She has also taught in a classroom for children with autism at the Moore-Weis Children’s Center of Austin and served as a behavior therapist at Partners in Excellence in Burnsville, MN. Kristen studied psychology at the University of St. Thomas in St Paul, MN, and later earned a Master’s in Special Education from the University of Texas, Austin. When she isn’t with the Spark team and families, she enjoys being outdoors and active with her family all around Austin.
