Partnering with Families
We’re here to provide the tools, knowledge, and support to help your entire family succeed. We encourage families to get involved in a child’s whole treatment, blending Spark Learning with at home learning. By working together and creating consistency that applies in all environments, studies show more progress and learning will be made.
Parents are welcome to attend full therapy sessions — and each session includes dedicated time to work with you and your child. You’ll be able to observe our interactions and the skills we’re working on, while learning strategies to help your child thrive at home. We also can work with other adults on your caregiver team — like coaches, teachers, babysitters, and more.
You’ll also be encouraged to schedule meetings and trainings with your therapy team that will provide specific at-home strategies the entire family can implement into the daily routine. If you have specific concerns we will help make a plan for those too, along with providing easy to implement at home tools, tips, and tricks. At the end of the day, we are here to help in every setting.
Kids naturally learn from each other, and siblings are an important part of your child’s everyday life. To help a child succeed, we often include siblings in our sessions. This approach helps siblings learn how to:
- Play together
- Interact appropriately
- Support one another
We often invite siblings to take part in our group-based social skills sessions as peer models. Everyone benefits by working and playing together in a supportive and fun environment.
Scheduling playdates with friends during community activities is a great way to foster social growth and build lasting relationships. We encourage families to organize these playdates, creating fun, inclusive opportunities for children to practice essential social skills in real-world settings. This approach helps children thrive while learning and developing friendships in an engaging, supportive environment.
