Getting the Family Involved
Consistency plays a key role in helping a child make progress. We encourage families to go all-in on a child’s therapy to help them blend Spark Learning with home learning, and we specialize in helping the whole family get involved.
How to be involved
Each session includes dedicated time to work with you and your child. You’ll be able to observe our interactions and the skills we’re working on while learning strategies to help your child thrive at home and in the community. At Spark, you’re invited to attend full therapy sessions if you like.
Kids naturally learn from each other, and siblings are an incredibly important part of your child’s everyday life. To help children succeed, we often include siblings in our sessions. This approach helps siblings learn how to:
- Play together
- Interact appropriately
- Support one another
Siblings are also invited to take part in our group-based social skills sessions as peer models. By bringing them in to work on interactions and play, our therapists are able to help them build authentic bonds and form friendships with each other.
